“A Minute is a Long Time.” –P. (age 5)

1 min

P. was talking with Glammy yesterday and the subject of “a minute” came up. P. told her, “A minute is a long time.”

I have a bad feeling she learned this from me.

As in:

“Mommy will be there in a minute.”

“I’ll get you a snack in a minute.”

“I just want to look at the iPad for a minute.”

“Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That’s relativity.” -Albert Einstein

Obviously, I’m teaching her science.
